HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky men's soccer fought until the final whistle against Milwaukee in a Horizon League contest from Scudamore Field Saturday afternoon that resulted in a 2-2 draw.
The Norse (4-9-2, 2-5-1 Horizon) found themselves in a tightly contested battle against the Panthers of Milwaukee (1-7-7, 0-3-4 Horizon) in the final regular season home match of the season. Milwaukee jumped on the scoreboard in the first half with a pair of goals in the 19' and 30' minute to take a 2-0 lead. The Norse bounced back late in the first half in the 37' minute as a strike from distance by Simon Knuewe cut the Panthers lead in half. NKU began the second half on fire with the equalizer in he 47' minute from senior Sam Slocum as his header found the back of the net on a ball played in by Andrés Zaffino.
