HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky volleyball continued to dispose of Horizon League opponents as the Norse earned their sixth consecutive victory after defeating Oakland inside Regent Hall Saturday afternoon.
Northern Kentucky (11-11, 9-2 Horizon) saw the Golden Grizzlies (9-15, 5-7 Horizon) come out swinging in set number one, as Oakland took the opening set from the Norse 25-22. NKU locked in real quick to dominate Oakland in sets two and three hitting an impressive .353 and .455 as a squad in those respective games. The Norse finished off the Golden Grizzlies with a number of runs and home atmosphere momentum to win set four at 25-18 and the match at 3-1.
