HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer team battled again in a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Wright State in a Horizon League match at the NKU Soccer Stadium on Thursday night. The contest served as the season-finale for the Norse at a chilly but packed Scudamore Field.

INSIDE THE NORSE BOX SCORE
- The quickest NKU goal of the season now belongs to
Taylor Abbott who struck a chip shot into the back of the net just 32 seconds into the match to give NKU an early lead. It was the Burlington, Illinois native's first goal of the year and the first of her Northern Kentucky career.
- NKU and WSU put the same number of attempted shots at the net (10), with Wright State holding a slight edge in shots on target (7-to-5).
- Northern Kentucky caused more corner kicks than its counterparts.

Mickayla Kowalski split the match in goal and recorded three and two saves apiece, respectively.

Megan Sullivan led the offense with two shots on target.

- 19 NKU student-athletes played in the season finale.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern Kentucky got on the board first as Abbott found the back of the net from deep to give the Norse a 1-0 lead.
- Wright State was able to find the equalizer in the 30th-minute to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Raiders stuck again in the 56th-minute to take a 2-1 lead.
- WSU was able to hold off a late NKU attack to collect the conference victory.
