HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - What a week is in store for
NORSE NATION, with men's basketball hosting Cincinnati on Wednesday, Nov. 16, women's basketball taking to the court twice including a home contest on Sunday, Nov. 20 and the NKU women's volleyball program taking a run at the Horizon League Championships, which begins for the Norse on Saturday, Nov. 19! Keep reading to find out all you need to know about a truly special week for Northern Kentucky Athletics.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Wednesday vs. Cincinnati (7 PM ET): Tickets | Watch | Listen | Live Stats
The much anticipated crosstown rivalry game against Cincinnati is finally here! The Norse will play host to the Bearcats for the first time in program history at 7 PM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Truist Arena.
The one-of-a-kind clash will feature a student pre-game tailgate in the lot by the NKU Soccer Stadium, a special Happy Hour from 5:30 – 6:30 PM with $5 select 12 oz. beers, a national anthem performance by American Idol Top-10 finisher and Kentucky's own Alyssa Wray, and a halftime performance from world renowned Red Panda, among other prizes and giveaways throughout the evening.

NKU is fresh off an 89-49 blowout victory over UC Clermont that saw
Marques Warrick drop 26 points,
Chris Brandon record a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards, and
Trevon Faulkner add 17 points. The Norse are also looking for their first win against Cincinnati in program history on Wednesday night.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

NKU women's basketball continues non-conference play this week, first with the University of Dayton on Thursday, Nov. 17 from the UD Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM ET and the game will be broadcasted nationwide on ESPN+. NKU is 3-6 all-time against the Flyers, with the last matchup occurring during the 1983-84 season with Dayton getting the victory at 85-62. The Norse then return home to Truist Arena to host Tennessee Tech on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2 PM ET. Northern Kentucky is 2-1 overall against the Golden Eagles, last meeting on Dec. 4, 2016.
The Norse are coming off a 1-1 week to open up the 2022-23 season. NKU began the year with a triple-overtime thriller against Lipscomb with the Norse winning the game 101-95.
Lindsey Duvall helped lead Northern Kentucky with a career-high in both points (36) and rebounds (15) to secure the win over the Bisons. Duvall then followed up that performance with a double-double on the road against Kent State, where the Golden Flashes handed NKU their first loss of the season.

Northern Kentucky finished off the 2022 regular season with a pair of sweeps on the road against both Youngstown State and Robert Morris this past weekend. NKU locked up the No. 2 overall seed in the Horizon League Championship Tournament, as they earned a first-round bye and will face the highest remaining seed available from: No. 3 Green Bay, No. 4 Cleveland State or No. 5 Milwaukee.
NKU's semifinal matchup is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 from Dayton, Ohio inside the C.J. McLin Gymnasium at 6 PM ET. The Horizon League Tournament will be hosted by rival and top seeded Wright State as well. All tournament matches will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN+.
