HIGHLAND HEIGHTS – In a game that will go down in Northern Kentucky Athletics history, the hometown Norse took down Cincinnati, 64-51, in a cross-town rivalry clash at Truist Arena on Wednesday night. In front of a record-breaking 8,503 fans in attendance, NKU defeated UC for the first time in school history.

Marques Warrick led the Norse attack again as the standout finished with 22 points, two assists and three blocks. It was the second straight contest Warrick has paced NKU in scoring and the three-block performance set a new career high. With his showing, Warrick moved into 33rd all-time in scoring in NKU history.

Chris Brandon was once again a force in the paint with his second consecutive double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Brandon, who came into the game tied for first in all of NCAA Division I basketball in rebounding, has now posted 12 or more boards in NKU's opening three games this year.

Sam Vinson returned after missing a game due to injury and showed up in a huge way with 15 points to go with four steals, three assists and two blocks.
- In total, eight NKU student-athletes scored at least two points in the contest.
- Northern Kentucky finished the game shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 54.5 from beyond the arc.
- The Norse held UC to just 11 points in the second half to close out the victory, a NKU NCAA DI record for fewest points allowed in a half.
