INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Marques Warrick paced the NKU attack once again this season as he followed up his Northern Kentucky NCAA Division I era school record 45 points on Sunday with 30 more on Thursday against the Penguins. The Lexington, Kentucky native finished 11-of-19 from the field overall and hit at a 5-of-7 clip from beyond the arc. He also tied a career-high with five steals. It was the first time a NKU student-athlete has gone for 30-plus points in back-to-back games since Tyler Sharpe achieved the feat in January 2020. Warrick has now led Northern Kentucky in scoring in six-of-nine contests so far this season.
- Xavier Rhodes returned to the lineup after missing a game due to illness and picked right up where he left off from the Norse's Florida trip as he posted 15 points, a season-best six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
- Trevon Faulkner stepped up when the Norse needed him most, hitting big shot after big shot on his way to 14 points, four boards and a helper.
- Sam Vinson made his return to the lineup after missing the past two games and dropped in 13 points to go with seven boards, two assists and two steals.
- Imanuel Zorgvol also made his presence felt in a big way down low as he tied a career-best with eight rebounds to go with three points and an assist in just 18 minutes of play.
