PULLMAN, Wash. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program took a cross-country trip to Pullman, Washington but found itself on the wrong end of a 68-47 decision to Pac-12 foe Washington State in a non-conference contest inside Beasley Coliseum on Wednesday night.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Trevon Faulkner provided a spark off the bench and led Northern Kentucky with 11 points on a 5-of-8 night from the field. He also added three rebounds. It was the third straight game Faulkner has finished with double-digit points.

Marques Warrick chipped in 10 points of his own to go with three boards and an assist. Warrick has now posted double-digit points in nine straight games.

Trey Robinson (seven points, three steals),
Xavier Rhodes (six points, two assists),
Imanuel Zorgvol (six points, three blocks),
Sam Vinson (four points, two steals),
Chris Brandon (two points) and
A'lahn Sumler (one point, one rebound) also contributed for the Norse.
- Zorgvol's three blocks tied his career best while Sumler knotched his first points as a collegiate student-athlete.
- NKU was held to its lowest point total so far to open the 2022-23 campaign.
- The game was the first meeting all-time between NKU and WSU and the first time that the Norse have played a Pac-12 program in school history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two sides started the game off trading baskets as NKU held an 8-7 lead with 13:48 left in the opening half.
- Washington State closed the half on a 32-15 run to take a 39-23 advantage.
- The Cougars extended their lead to 57-29 with 8:29 left in the contest.
- The Norse started to fight back, and from the 7:09 mark through the end of the game, NKU hit 7-of-8 field goals to try to close the WSU advantage.
- The final push was just too late as Washington State closed out the 68-47 victory.

The Norse return home for a clash with in-state rival Eastern Kentucky next Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Truist Arena.
