HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky Athletic Department and Dead Low Brewing are teaming up once again for the Norse Nation Coaches Show, featuring men's basketball head coach
Darrin Horn and women's basketball head coach
Camryn Whitaker. All shows, which run from 6:00-7:00 PM ET on both local radio and national streaming services, will be hosted at Dead Low Brewing, the closest brewery to the NKU campus.
"We are really excited to have a partner like Dead Low Brewing for the Coaches Show, a partnership that is in its second year," General Manager of Norse Sports Properties Tony Kountz said. "It's the closest craft brewery to Northern Kentucky University, their food is tremendous and their ownership has been a big asset to building the NKU Athletics brand."
Dead Low Brewing is a family-friendly establishment and is located just five minutes from the Northern Kentucky University campus at 5959 Kellogg Road, Cincinnati, Ohio off 275 (the first exit when you cross the bridge into Ohio). Make a left off the first exit once you cross the bridge coming from NKU and it comes up fast on your left-hand side. Kids also eat FREE on Tuesday, which makes the living airing of the Norse Nation Coaches Show and all kids meals FREE OF CHARGE.
Dead Low Brewing just launched the
Norse Golden Ale, an exclusive beer brewed for NKU fans and supporters throughout the region. The beer is available in-person at the brewery and Norse Nation can also grab it at all NKU men's basketball games at Truist Arena in the Dead Low Brewing beer garden.
"Dead Low is proud to host the NKU Norse Nation Coaches Show and we invite all Norse fans to hop on over the bridge, meet the coaches and watch the show live," a member of Norse Nation and CEO of Dead Low Brewing, Paul Ganim said. "We are so close to Northern Kentucky University, Dead Low is the ideal destination to get NKU students, alumni and fans together to celebrate all things Norse! We take great pride in our affiliation with the NKU Athletic Department."
Jim Kelch, the play-by-play voice of Norse basketball, returns for his ninth season hosting the Coaches Show. He will be joined by NKU alum and color analyst Rick Broering, who is in his third year of co-hosting.
Fox Sports 1360 will carry the first two broadcasts (Jan. 3 and Jan. 10), while the remaining six shows (Jan. 17, Jan. 24, Jan. 31, Feb. 7, Feb. 14, Feb. 21)
