@NKUNorseSB rally for 7-3 win over Presbyterian

CLINTON, S.C. – Northern Kentucky rallied from a two-run deficit to defeat Presbyterian 7-3 in the Blue Hose Invitational Friday afternoon. The Norse (1-1) scored five runs in the sixth inning and held on, dealing the host team a second straight loss.
 
At the Plate In the Circle
  • Freshman Alicia Flores (1-0) went the distance in seven innings. She struck out nine and walked two in a game she allowed six hits and three earned runs.
At a Glance
  • Kendyl McKeough homered to left field in the first inning for the Norse lead.
  • The Blue Hose answered with three runs in the bottom of the first and held a 3-1 advantage until the fifth inning.
  • Ella LeMonier's sac fly RBI scored Charly Koehler in the top of the fifth.
  • Megan Lenhart drove in Tatum Biddle on a single to center field to start NKU's scoring barrage in the top of the sixth. Charly Koehler delivered two RBI, scoring Maddie Lacer and Olivia Pastin, for the 5-3 advantage. Sophie Margelot doubled to left center and increased the RBI tally by two, plating Koehler and Lenhart.
  • The Blue Hose surrendered five hits and had six errors in the top of the fifth.
