CLINTON, S.C. – Kendyl McKeough's walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning propelled Northern Kentucky to a dramatic 6-5 victory over Tennessee Tech in Saturday's Blue Hose Invitational.
 
Tennessee Tech scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to knot the score at six before Keough delivered the game-winner.
 
NKU (3-1) has won three straight games heading into Sunday's outing against Presbyterian. The Norse defeated the host team Blue Hose 7-3 on Friday.
 
At the Plate

• Kendyl McKeough had a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with the game-winning run. She crossed the plate twice Saturday.
• Jenna O'Hair went 3-of-4 with a double and RBI.
• Charly Koehler had two hits in her three at-bats with an RBI and run scored.
• Ella LeMonier contributed a triple and RBI on a day NKU amassed 10 hits and five RBI.

• Madisyn Eads (1-1) claimed the win after facing eight batters in 1.1 innings.

At a Glance

• NKU took control from the start when Tatum Biddle reached on an error, Kendyl McKeough advanced to second and Jenna O'Hair scored an unearned run. Charly Koehler drove in McKeough for the 2-0 lead.
• Jenna O'Hair's single plated Ella LeMonier for the 3-0 edge in the bottom of the second.
• The Norse increased their lead to 5-0 after three innings. Charly Koehler and Kaylee McGinn scored to give the NKU their biggest margin of the game.
• Tennessee Tech scored three runs in the sixth and two in the top of the seventh to ensure a 5-all tie. Kendyl McKeough's ensuing home run gave the Norse a dramatic victory.
