• Northern Kentucky enters this week after finishing their road trip 2-1 overall, picking up wins over UIC and Purdue Fort Wayne. The Norse ultimately fell in a heartbreaker to Cleveland State, 59-56.

Grayson Rose is ranked for 15th overall in the nation in total blocks with 53. She is also ranked 16th in the country in blocks per game at 2.52. She has been a force on the glass this season, ranking 45th in the nation in total rebounds with 197. She ranks 48th overall in boards per game with at 9.4 as well.

Lindsey Duvall currently ranks third overall in the Horizon League in scoring average with 17.5 points per game. Duvall is first in the conference in total points however, with 367. She is also fifth overall in rebounding in the conference at 7.3 boards per game.
• Mitchell-Steen currently ranks second overall in the Horizon League in total steals with 40.
• NKU currently sits at 16-5 overall with a 10-4 record in Horizon League play. This is the best all-time start in the NCAA Division l era for the Norse, and the best Horizon League start for Northern Kentucky as well.
• Rose is second currently in the Horizon League in rebounding with 9.4 boards per game, and leads in the conference in overall rebounds with 197. She additionally leads the conference in blocked shots with 53, and leads in block shots per game at 2.5 this season.
• Duvall's incredible streak of scoring in double-digits in every single game she has worn a Northern Kentucky uniform was snapped at UIC (Feb. 1) earlier this week. Her impressive streak lasted 37 consecutive games.

Kailee Davis was named the Nike Horizon League Freshman of the Week during the week of Jan. 10-16.
• Turner was named the Nike Horizon League Player of the Week during the week of Nov. 20-28.
• Duvall was named the Nike Horizon League Player of the Week during the week of Dec. 6-12 and during the week for Dec. 27-Jan. 2.
• Duvall and Turner each received conference accolades with Duvall earning Horizon League Preseason All-League First Team and Turner getting an All-League Second Team nod.
• The Norse were picked to finish fourth in the 2021-22 Horizon League Preseason Coaches Poll.
• The Norse finished the 2020-21 season eighth overall in the Horizon League. NKU defeated Robert Morris in the first round of the conference tournament before falling to rival and number one seed Wright State in the quarterfinals.
Last Time Out
The Norse fell to the Vikings of Cleveland State in a heartbreaker of a loss, 59-56 on the road inside the Wolstein Center. This intense Horizon League contest came right down to the wire as NKU saw an opportunity to tie up the game at 59 overall but an unlucky bounce in-and-out of the hoop saw the home squad take the win. In a very physical matchup, Emmy Souder posted one of the best games of her career, totaling 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the floor. All three stat categories were career-highs for the senior, which included total points, shots made and shots attempted. Souder additionally led the Norse in rebounding, pulling down eight boards in her incredible effort.
Scouting the Flames
UIC enters the week after going 0-2 the previous week falling to Oakland (59-47) and Northern Kentucky (71-41). UIC and NKU faced each other for the first time last week in a rescheduled contest from Jan. 2. Leading the Flames this season is Jaida McCloud who is averaging 15.6 points per game. McCloud also leads UIC in rebounding with 6.5 boards per contest as well. In the last matchup against NKU McCloud totaled 14 points and five rebounds in the 71-41 loss to the Norse.
Series Stuff
Northern Kentucky leads this all-time series against UIC 10-2 overall. The Norse picked up a win over the Flames last week in Chicago, 71-41 to kick-off the Norse road trip through Horizon League opponents. Historically when playing in Highland Heights NKU is dominant against UIC, posting a 5-0 overall record inside BB&T Arena when hosting the Flames.
