HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set saw Louisville jump ahead to an 11-5 advantage after multiple scoring runs of 4-0 against NKU. The Cardinals continued to lead the opening game over the Norse to claim set number one at 25-12.

Set number two saw more of the same from the top-five national ranked Cards, posting a 5-0 scoring run to surge ahead 10-4 over Northern Kentucky. Louisville continued to total runs late into the set and ultimately take the game at 25-11.

While Louisville once again built a commanding lead early against the Norse at 13-5, NKU was not going down without a fight in this final set of play. Reilly Briggs and Anna Brinkmann looked to turn up their intensity in this third set, with both totaling multiple kills to see NKU only trail by seven at 19-12. The Cardinals previously generated lead was too much to overcome however, with Louisville winning the third set at 25-16 and sweeping the match at 3-0.
