HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team made a statement in front of their home crowd with a 3-2 victory over the Screaming Eagles of Southern Indiana.

INSIDE THE NORSE BOX SCORE
- The Norse saw goals from
Joseph Roddy (53'),
Hunter Sekelsky (58') and
Sam Robinson (67').
- Roddy and Sekelsky each netted their first career goals in a Norse uniform and Robinson's was his first of the season.

Parker Vasic,
Itay Soffer and Sekelsky each recorded their first collegiate assist in this contest as well.
- The Norse blasted a total of 18 shots on the night, with 12 of them being on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Screaming Eagles jumped on the board first with a goal in the 28' minute from Nick Faddis.
- Southern Indiana looked for a knockout blow in the second half (53') with another goal, this time from Mical Hardtman.
- The Norse were not going down without a fight however, as
Joseph Roddy scoring his first collegiate goal in the 53' and was assisted by
Hunter Sekelsky.
- Sekelsky had himself a huge home debut as he found the back of the net in the 58' minute for his first collegiate goal and to see the Norse tie up the match at 2-2 overall.

Sam Robinson then finished off the Eagles with a phenomenal goal in the 67' on the assist from
Itay Soffer to see NKU net three unanswered goals and take the match at 3-2.
