HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky men's soccer was defeated in an intense nonconference battle against former rival Bellarmine Friday night from Scudamore Field, 2-1.
NKU (1-2, 0-0 Horizon) found themselves back against a wall early in this matchup, as the Knights of Bellarmine (1-1-1, 0-0 ASUN) scored their opening goal in 9' minute to start the match. The Norse found an equalizer goal in th 56' minute with a strike from Craig Wellens, on an assist from Joseph Roddy and Brodie Sallows. The Knights shortly after found their game-winner as Haziq Zed netted a goal off a rebound shot from a fellow teammate to claim the 2-1 victory.
