HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer program found itself on the wrong side of a defensive battle as visiting Louisville snuck away with a 1-0 non-conference victory at the NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday evening.

Mickayla Kowalski appeared in goal for NKU and she held Louisville scoreless over the final 32:52 of the contest. She has now played 66:42 on the season and has yet to allow an opposing goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals broke through for the only tally of the game 15 minutes into the opening half.
- The two teams battled for the rest of the night, but neither side could put one past the goal line as Louisville escaped with the 1-0 win.
FOR THE FOES
- Karsyn Cherry scored the only goal of the game, her second of the season, as she cashed in her opportunity at the 15-minute mark.
- Erynn Floyd recorded a shutout in goal for the Cardinals.
