MACOMB, Ill. – Northern Kentucky men's soccer drew for the first time this season, as the Norse finished in a 1-1 stalemate with nonconference opponent Western Illinois on the road Tuesday evening.
Northern Kentucky (3-4-1, 1-1-0 Horizon) found themselves down midway through the first half to the Leathernecks of Western Illinois (0-4-3, 0-0-0 Summit). WIU netted the first goal of the match in the 30' minute from Arian Mehrang. The Norse found an equalizer later in the second half of play as the freshman Hunter Sekelsky found the back of the net in the 78' minute on the assist from Sam Robinson to even up the match at 1-1.
