HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer team recorded a clean sheet on previously unbeaten IUPUI to collect its first victory of the season by a 3-0 margin in a Horizon League contest at NKU Soccer Stadium on Thursday evening.

Emilie Doersching attempted just one shot on goal and she broke out in a big way to score her first and second collegiate markers of her career as she found the back of the net in the 59th and 63rd minute.

Shannon Crogan added a tally of her own in the 77th-minute to push NKU ahead 3-0. The goal was also the first of her collegiate career.

Mickayla Kowalski recorded the second clean sheet of the season and of her career as she turned aside three IUPUI shots in the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doersching's goal in the 59th-minute gave Northern Kentucky its first lead of the season.
- The freshman struck again in the 63rd-minute to post the brace.
- Crogan added a goal of her own in the 77th-minute to close out the 3-0 conference win.
