BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Northern Kentucky volleyball wrapped up the Falcon Invitational presented by Hampton Inn from Bowling Green, Ohio with a match against No. 22 nationally ranked Western Kentucky.
The Norse (1-5, 0-0 Horizon) came out swinging in the opening set against WKU, holding down at 17-12 lead after kills from Torie Houston and Abby Kanakry, along with a service ace from Katy Yopko. The Hilltoppers posted multiple large scoring runs to mount their comeback to claim set one at 25-23. The Norse fought just as hard in set number two, tying up the game at 18-18, but WKU was there to answer back with a scoring run for the 25-20 victory. Western Kentucky capped off the nonconference win at 25-13 for the match sweep.
