DAYTON, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer squad was taken down in a tightly contested match on the road against the Flyers of Dayton Tuesday evening.

MATCH BREAKDOWN
- The Flyers were the first to find the back of the net as Sidike Jabateh tallied a goal in the 40' minute on assists by Joseph Melto Quiah and Manny Day.
- Northern Kentucky found their equalizer in the 56' minute during the second half as a well played ball from Drew Boettcher made its way through and off a Dayton defender and the goalkeeper to result in an own goal by the Flyers.
- Dayton's Jabateh recorded a brace in the 62' minute with what proved to be the game-winner on the assist from Ousseynou Cisse.
- UD went on to out-shoot the Norse 15 to 10 respectively, with the Flyers totaling four shots on goal compared to NKU's three. Caleb Mundell, Sam Robinson and Yonatan Cohen each totaled those shots on goal against Dayton as well.

The Northern Kentucky men's soccer program will return to their home pitch next on Saturday, October 14 as the Norse will host Horizon League adversary IUPUI. NKU and the Jaguars will meet at Scudamore Field with kick off scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
