HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky volleyball program got back into the win column Friday evening as the Norse swept through the Mastodons of Purdue Fort Wayne inside Regents Hall.

MATCH NOTES

Ava Hoying led the Norse offensively on the night with a team-high 11 kills on 22 overall attempts. Hoying only committed two errors for an impressive hitting percentage of .409 as well.

Abby Kanakry turned in an all-around solid match with eight kills, three block assists and one dig. Kanankry currently ranks third all-time in Northern Kentucky Volleyball history in total block assists with 314 also.

Torie Houston guided NKU to this sweep victory with 18 assists against PFW. Houston finished with one service ace and six digs to help aid the Norse to yet another conference win.
- Northern Kentucky dominated the serving in tonight's contest, totaling 13 overall aces compared to Purdue Fort Wayne's two.
Anna Burke led NKU with a season-high five aces to fuel the home victory, and she went on to lead the Norse in digs with 13 overall.

Northern Kentucky volleyball is right back at it tomorrow, Saturday, October 14 as the Norse will welcome Horizon League adversary IUPUI inside Regents Hall. NKU and the Jaguars will meet in Highland Heights at 4 p.m. (ET) as both squads look to solidify their conference championship tournament positions.
