AKRON, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer program faced a difficult test on the road Tuesday evening, as the Norse faced off against the number four ranked Zips of Akron in a non-conference tilt.

MATCH BREAKDOWN
- Northern Kentucky held strong defensively against the nationally ranked Zips of Akron in the opening half of this match, going into the break with a 0-0 scoreline.
- Akron broke the scoring deficit however in the 55' minute on a goal from Jason Shokalook on the assists from Malik Henry and Johnny Fitzgerald.
- The Zips found a second goal in the 63' minute on the brace from Shokalook with assists from Fitzgerald once again and Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal.
- Akron finished the match with a total of 25 shots, compared to the two of Northern Kentucky. Those shots were taken by
