HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball team celebrated the holiday with a big pre-Thanksgiving 88-73 victory over visiting Texas A&M – Corpus Christi in the opening game of the Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Toyota Dealers Thanksgiving Tournament inside Truist Arena on Thursday night.
It was the first meeting between the two programs all-time and featured a showdown between two NCAA Tournament Teams from a season ago.

Sam Vinson went off for a game-best 22 points off an 8-of-9 night from the field. He added three rebounds, two assists, a game-high four steals and a block.

Marques Warrick posted 21 points to go along with two assists. With the performance, the standout senior moved into seventh place all-time in school history with 1,674 career points.

Michael Bradley chipped in 11 points, a team-best seven assists, five rebounds and three steals. The San Antonio, Texas native has now gone for seven helpers in three of the past four games.

Jeramiah Israel had a huge contest as he recorded 11 points on a 3-of-5 showing from the field, which included a 2-of-3 mark from beyond the arc. He also grabbed two boards and one steal in 10 minutes of action.

Cade Meyer added seven points, three boards, one assist and a block in 17 minutes of work.
- Twelve of NKU's 23 assists came from the forward or center position.
- Nine different Northern Kentucky student-athletes scored in the victory.
