NORSE NOTES 

• McFadden-Ackman's performance today was one for the record books. Not only did the junior crush two first inning grand slam home runs, but he capped off the already nearly impossible day by hitting for the cycle with a single in the bottom of the sixth inning. 
• Northern Kentucky has been on fire to open the 2023 with a 6-1 overall record. This is the best start to a season for the Norse since 1990 when NKU opened up at 12-1 overall. 
• Lopez provided a solid outing on the bump today in his first collegiate start for the Norse, tossing 5.0 innings allowing just 3 earned runs and one walk. 
• The bullpen of Northern Kentucky shutdown the Broncos completely for four innings today, as Angel Acevado, Zach Byron, Wyatt Geesaman and Logen Devenport combined to allow just one earned run, four hits and one strikeout.
