FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Northern Kentucky baseball program split the day from Mastodon Field to earn themselves a road victory against Purdue Fort Wayne Sunday afternoon.

NORSE NOTES 
  • Ecehman earned his second win of the season in game number two today after throwing 7.0 strong innings against the Mastodons. He finished the day with six strikeouts and only allowed four hits and zero runs. 
  • Vorhees stayed hot at the plate as he currently stands with an eight-game hitting streak. Additionally he has also reched base safely in eight consecutive games as well. 
  • Kucera continued his hot streak of reaching base safely after today's doubleheader, increasing his streak to 18 consecutive games now. 
  • Northern Kenucky currently sits in second place in the Horizon League at 4-2 overall in conference play. NKU trails rival Wright State who is 5-1 overall in league action.

Northern Kentucky Baseball continues to play on the road with a trip to Louisville, Ky. up next as the Norse will face Bellarmine in a nonconference showdown. NKU and the Knights will meet on Tuesday, March 28 at 2 PM (ET) from Knights Field and this game will be broadcasted on the BU Knights Sports Network.
