- The Eagles began this game with a solo home run in the top of the first inning to center field. NKU quickly countered with a pair of runs of their run, courtesy of Simpson with a two-run single to center field to give the Norse the lead.
- Morehead State regained the lead in the fourth inning after putting up five runs, four of which came from a grand slam from Guzman. The Eagles went on to add three more runs to their total to take the game at 9-3 overall.
