NORSE TOP PERFORMERS

NORSE NOTES  ///  HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Mastodons and Norse each began this series opener with a bang as a two-run homer from PFW saw the visitors jump on the board in the top of the first. Fisher helped even things up with a two-run blast of his own however to ignite the NKU offense.
  • Peyton Lane followed up in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run single to shortstop for the 4-2 lead.
  • Northern Kentucky put this game away in the bottom of the fifth inning as an eight-run outburst gave NKU the 13-4 advantage and ultimately claimed the victory at 13-8.

  • Fisher continues to be the anchor of this explosive NKU offensive attack, increasing his numbers today to 11 home runs on the year, 52 RBI, 45 runs and a batting average of .347 overall. Besides leading the Horizon League in RBI, Fisher also ranks 26th in the nation in the stat category as well.
  • Kucera continues to stay hot on the year as well, finding any possible way to get on base as he's sporting a Horizon League leading .402 batting average along with leading the league in on base percentage at .519 overall. Kucera also ranks 35th in the country in batting average and 22nd overall in on base percentage in the nation.
