MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Northern Kentucky softball program found itself on the wrong side of a pitcher's duel against Horizon League foe Robert Morris as the Colonials were able to escape with a 2-0 victory at the North Athletic Complex on Friday afternoon.

Alicia Flores put on a show in the circle for the Norse as she found herself on the wrong side of a tough luck loss. She twirled a complete game over six innings that included just three hits, two runs (both unearned) and six strikeouts. Flores is now ranked fourth in the Horizon in punchouts (69) and tied for 11th in complete games (four).

Megan Lenhart (1-for-2) picked up the lone NKU hit in the contest.

Trinity Robertson and
Brielle DiMemmo all drew a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game started with four scoreless innings that included a stretch where the first 18 batters of the game did not record a base hit on either side. RMU broke the hitless streak in the bottom of the fourth while NKU recorded its first base knock in the top of the fifth.
- Robert Morris also broke the scoreless stretch on the scoreboard with a run in the bottom of the fifth to take a 1-0 edge.
- RMU struck again in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 2-0 game.
- The Colonials were able to keep the Norse off the board for the rest of the contest to close out the 2-0 victory.

Northern Kentucky and Robert Morris will get right back to it with a doubleheader set for Saturday, April 8. The twin bill will get underway at 1 PM ET and fans and supporters can watch all the action live on ESPN+.
