MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
LOUISVILLE – The Northern Kentucky men's and women's cross country programs put on an absolute show as the two squads competed at the prestigious Live in Lou Cross Country Classic down in Louisville at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park on Saturday.

NOTABLES
- The men got the day started with their 8K race where they were paced by sophomore
Colton O'Hara who posted his second top-10 finish of the season. The Hamersville, Ohio native blazed the course with a new personal best of 24:56.0 to claim eighth overall against a field of over 429 student-athletes. O'Hara was the top sophomore finisher at the meet and finished as the third underclassmen in the top-8 of the blue race.

Jacob Line made it two Norse in the top-100 as he crossed the line in 26:08.5 to take 98th overall. The showing set a new personal record for the sophomore by nearly 29 seconds.
- The rest of the NKU top-seven was rounded out by
Bryan Stoltzfus (255th, new personal best of 27:18.4),
Summit Northrup (265th, 27:26.2),
Noah Pease (336th, 28:07.9),
Jacob Messer (346th, 28:15.2) and
Brayden Rice (360th, 28:28.2).
- As a group, the Northern Kentucky men finished in 33rd overall with 894 points. NKU placed ahead of squads from USC Upstate and Detroit Mercy, among others.
- The women followed up the men and absolute showed out in their 5K race.
- The Norse were led by
Sophia DeLisio as the senior ran the best race of her career to claim 14th overall at 18:22.6 against a field of over 383 student-athletes. The performance set a new personal best for the Independence, Kentucky native by over 19 seconds.
- Freshman standout
Layla Henderson was right behind her in 21st with a time of 18:27.9. The showing set a new PR for the Maysville, Kentucky native by over a minute.

Grace Biddle was next across the line for NKU as she finished in 45th at 18:50.4.
- Veteran
Jacquelyn Witt made sure to make it four Norse in the top-100 as she ran to a 19:27.9 finish to take 100th overall.
- Northern Kentucky's top-seven was finished up by
Lauren Mang (168th, 19:58.9),
Paige Decker (182nd, 20:06.0) and
Kaitlyn Strange (210th, 20:24.6).
- As a unit, the NKU women combined to take eighth overall with 331 points. The Norse knocked off teams from Morehead State, UAB, Detroit Mercy, Wright State and USC Upstate in the process.
- The team performance for the Norse women was also a nine-spot and 225-point improvement from their finish at the 2022 Live in Lou Classic a year ago.

NEXT UP
Northern Kentucky will split up for its final race of the regular season with two meets on the docket on Friday, October 13. Some of the squad will head to Peoria, Illinois for the Bradley "Pink" Meet, while a select group of student-athletes will travel to Wilmington, Ohio to compete in the Jenna Strong Invitational.
