INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-
Sofia Wilmes struck first in the opening half for the Norse off a pretty give and go with
Meghan Belrose. Wilmes played a perfect ball to Belrose who then returned the favor back to Wilmes as she crashed the net. Wilmes buried her chance with a header into the top of the net to give Northern Kentucky a 1-0 lead.
-
Lilly Yordy scored her first collegiate goal with a beautiful kick off a corner that found its way into the back of the net as NKU pushed its advantage to 2-0 in the second half. After a closer review, it was confirmed that the ball crossed the goal before it hit off the EKU defender, making it a true Olimpico goal.
-
Mickayla Kowalski continued her unreal stretch in net as the senior goalkeeper recorded yet another shutout with two saves. It was her fourth clean sheet of the season and her fourth straight overall.
- Northern Kentucky has not allowed a goal over its last 383 minutes and 28 seconds of action, a streak that began all the way back on August 20.
- NKU improved to 2-0-3 over its last five contests, the program's best unbeaten streak since 2021.
- Tonight also marked the first road victory for the Norse so far this season.
