YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program suffered a road setback as the Norse got beat 82-52 by Horizon League rival Youngstown State in a conference clash inside the Beeghly Center on Sunday afternoon.

Trey Robinson paced the Norse with a team-best 13 points and seven rebounds. He also added an assist and a steal in 32 minutes of action. It was the Hamilton, Ohio native's ninth game so far this year with double-digit points and his 11th contest with seven-plus boards. Robinson is averaging 7.5 rebounds over his last four games played.

Marques Warrick continued his climb up the NKU record book as he posted eight points and three boards. He is now up to 2,007 career points, which ties him with Craig Sanders for second-most all-time in school history. Warrick became just the third NKU student-athlete in program history to pass the 2,000-point plateau and trails Norse legend Drew McDonald by just 59 points to tie him for the school record. He needs 60 points to take over the top spot in school history for himself.

Randall Pettus II chipped in seven points, three rebounds, two assists and tied for the game-lead with three steals. The freshman from Bessemer City, North Carolina has averaged 7.8 points per contest off the bench over his last four games played.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern Kentucky jumped out to a fast start as the Norse held a 22-14 lead with 10:24 left in the first half.
- It was all Youngstown State from that point on. The Penguins closed the final 10 minutes of the opening half on a 24-9 run to take a 38-31 lead into the locker room. YSU then followed it up by winning the second half by a 44-21 margin to close out the conference victory.
