FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Northern Kentucky men's soccer picked up three massive points in Horizon League play on Friday afternoon, as the Norse are headed home from Indiana after a big win over Purdue Fort Wayne.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Northern Kentucky's three goals tied its highest offensive output of the season (3-0 win over Western Illinois 9/8)
- NKU led in total shots 12-10, and in shots on goal 5-2.
- Caleb Mundell scored his first of the season on assists from Parker Vasic and Diego Hoenderkamp.
- Nico Stoddart's second goal of the season proved to be the game-winner, assisted by Caleb Frakes (who took the free kick) and Wade Stinson (who headed it to Stoddart).
- Jason Purks put the match out of reach and gave NKU a comfortable lead with his third goal of the season.
- Morgan Lopes came on for Nic Lemen in the 19th minute, making one save. The lone goal he allowed was on a PK.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following a scoreless first half, Caleb Mundell found the back of the net in the 52nd minute. Just five minutes later, a handball called in the box gave PFW a penalty kick which they converted.
- Nico Stoddart scored in the 64th minute, and 10 minutes later Jason Purks gave NKU a two goal lead that the Norse held onto for the win.
