HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky women's soccer returned to action after a first round bye at the Horizon League Championships on Thursday night, as the Norse took on No. 3 seed Detroit Mercy.
The Norse advanced to the Horizon League Championship match with a 1-0 victory, marking the second straight season NKU will meet Milwaukee with a College Cup berth and Horizon League Championship on the line.
NKU has now won seven straight matches including postseason play.
