HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's basketball team stumbled against Horizon League rival Purdue Fort Wayne as the Norse were knocked off by a 70-58 margin inside Truist Arena on Wednesday night.
The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for NKU.

NORSE NOTES
- Purdue Fort Wayne jumped out to a narrow 15-14 lead after 10 minutes of play.
- It was the same edge for the Mastodons in the second quarter as they won the frame by a 15-14 edge to take a 30-28 lead into the half.
- Purdue Fort Wayne started off the third on a huge run but the Norse punched right back with a strong stretch of their own to make it a 55-47 game with 10 minutes to go.
- Northern Kentucky got as close as five points with just 5:11 left in the contest, but Purdue Fort Wayne was able to pull away at the end to collect the 70-58 victory.
