CHARLESTON, S.C. – After the Northern Kentucky softball program shut out Charleston Southern on Saturday, the Buccaneers returned the favor the following day as the Norse suffered a 3-0 setback at the CSU Softball Field on Sunday afternoon.

Tatum Biddle led the way for the Norse with a perfect 2-for-2 day at the dish to go with a base on balls.

Trinity Robertson (1-for-4),
Brielle DiMemmo (1-for-3) and
Sydni Barnes (1-for-3) also collected hits in the contest.
- Biddle added a stolen base on the afternoon.

Brooklyn Ballis took a tough-luck loss in the circle as she went six innings with nine hits and three earned runs allowed. The freshman also struck out three batters.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Charleston Southern jumped out in front early with two runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead.
- The Buccaneers added to their advantage with another run in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 3-0 game.
- That is all the offense either team could muster. Northern Kentucky continued to put base runners on but just couldn't get any of them around to score as Charleston Southern collected the non-conference victory.
NEXT UP
The Norse and Buccaneers return for the rubber match of the series on Monday, March 4. First pitch is set for 5 PM ET and
the game will be played in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
