ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Northern Kentucky baseball program put on an absolute show as the Norse dropped 24 runs in a 24-3 victory over Horizon League foe Oakland in the series opener on Friday.
The 24 runs were the most scored by the Norse so far this season. It was also the highest run total posted in a single game by a Horizon squad to go with being ranked in a tie for 25
th for largest win-margin in all of NCAA Division I baseball this year.

John Odom put up a game for the record books as he blasted three homers off a 3-for-4 series opener that included seven RBI, four runs scored and a walk.

Liam McFadden-Ackman also posted eye-popping numbers with a perfect 3-for-3 effort with one home run, five RBI, three runs and two walks.

Brennan Rowe also went off with two homers as he went 3-for-4 at the dish with three RBI and two runs scored.

Colton Kucera added a 2-for-5 performance with three RBI, one run and one walk.

Cleary Simpson led off the game with a solo blast and finished things with a 4-for-5 showing with two RBI, four runs scored and a base on balls.

Treyvin Moss (4-for-6, four runs scored, one RBI),
Jake Paulick (1-for-3, one RBI, one run, one walk) and
Ryan Kilpatrick (1-for-1, one RBI, one run scored) also drove in runs for the Norse.
- As a team, the Norse hit an absurd 22-for-39 (.564), with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored and nine walks. NKU also got on base at a .653 clip in the contest.

Clay Brock picked up the win on the mound, his fifth victory of the season, with a quality start. He went six innings with career-best nine strikeouts while allowing just six hits and three earned runs.

Jared Teke closed things out with a scoreless frame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was all Northern Kentucky in this one as the Norse scored at least a run in every inning of the game.
- The Norse scored two runs in the top of the first, five in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth, four in the fifth, one in the sixth and nine in the seventh to rack up the 24-3 win.
