ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Northern Kentucky baseball program was tripped up by Horizon League foe Oakland by a 7-3 margin in game two of the series on Saturday.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Brennan Rowe blasted a solo homer to go with a 1-for-4 performance overall. He notched two RBI and a run scored.
- Mitch Wood chipped in a 1-for-4 outing that included a RBI.
- John Odom slammed two doubles to finish 2-for-3 with a run.
- Tyler Shaneyfelt added a 1-for-4 day with a run scored.
- Liam McFadden-Ackman posted a 3-for-5 effort that also featured a double. He is now tied for the Horizon League lead in hits (60) to go with already being the conference leader in batting average (.426).
- Cleary Simpson went 2-for-5 at the dish.
- Northern Kentucky (10 hits) outhit Oakland (seven) in the contest.
- Jared Teke added 0.2 scoreless innings of relief on the mound. He hasn't allowed a run over his 1.2 innings of work in the series.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Norse were done in as the Golden Grizzlies dropped six runs in the bottom of the second to jump out to a 6-0 lead.
- NKU started to chip away with two runs in the top of the fourth off a RBI from both Wood and Rowe.

- Oakland added a run of insurance in the bottom of the eighth to make it a 7-2 game.
- The Norse tried to comeback in the top of the ninth as Rowe sent a ball over the center field wall, but it was all the offense could muster as the Golden Grizzles closed out the 7-3 victory.
