HOW IT HAPPENED
- As has been the trend for most of the season, the Norse got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the first to take the 1-0 lead.
- Miami (Hamilton) responded right back with a run of its own in the top of the second, but Northern Kentucky also answered right away with a run in the bottom half of the inning to make it a 2-1 game.
- The Harriers took a slight edge after a run in both the third and the fourth to jump ahead 3-2.
- The Norse weren't having any of that with seven runs in the bottom of the fourth and another 11 in the fifth to pull away with a 20-4 advantage.
- Northern Kentucky pushed another run across in the bottom of the sixth and even with two runs in the top of the seven by Miami (Hamilton), it wasn't nearly enough as the Norse sealed the 21-6, run-rule victory.
