TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Northern Kentucky volleyball team closed out another non-conference tournament on Saturday morning as the Norse took on Eastern Washington in their final match at the Rocket Invitational.
The Norse battled and forced a fourth set, but were unable to overcome the Eagles.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Northern Kentucky finished the match with 55 total kills, led by double-digit efforts from Joy Banks (14), Sydney Bray (12) and Allison Risley (12).
- Banks finished with 12 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.
- Lucy Cluxton topped her season-high in digs for the second time this weekend with 24. Cluxton has posted 10+ digs in seven straight matches.
- Ivey Stocks led the Norse in hitting percentage at .438, with nine kills and just two errors on 16 swings.
- Allison Risley added 11 digs for another double-double.
- Torie Houston and Lainey Green combined for 42 assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Eastern Washington took the first two sets before the Norse bounced back with a set three win. NKU posted 17 kills at a .250 efficiency rate during the set.
- NKU held an early lead in the fourth set and threatened to force a fifth and final set, but EWU came back to take victory 25-23 in the final frame.

- Northern Kentucky plays host to Xavier and Miami (OH) in its second home tournament of the season beginning Thursday.
