HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky – The Northern Kentucky volleyball team closed out the NKU Invitational with a big test on Sunday as the Norse took on the No. 4 ranked Louisville Cardinals.
The Norse put up a fight and forced extra points in the third set, but the Cardinals closed out a sweep.

- Lucy Cluxton finished with double digit digs once again with 15, which led all players in the match.
- Joy Banks impressed with six kills and seven digs.
- Torie Houston led the Norse with 13 assists.
- NKU finished with six total blocks, led by Ivey Stocks' three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Louisville won the first two sets in convincing fashion, but the Norse put up a valiant fight in the third and forced extra points. However, the Cardinals closed out the sweep with a 26-24 set win.
UP NEXT
- Northern Kentucky heads to Toledo to play in the Rocket Invitational beginning on Friday. NKU is set to take on Marshall, the hosting Rockets, and Eastern Washington.
