DAYTON, Ohio – In the final match of the regular season, Northern Kentucky University Norse women's soccer battled Wright State on a rainy Wednesday night in Dayton. Norse forward 
Erykah Cornett tallied a pair of goals in the match, including one that gave NKU a late 2-0 lead, but the Norse conceded a pair of goals inside the final ten minutes to equalize as the match ended in a draw.

Erykah Cornett netted a brace in the match, just the second of her career, as she also recorded one on October 5th, 2023. The Norse forward finished tied for the Horizon League lead in scoring, netting nine goals on the season, including five in conference play. 
– NKU won the shot battle, 16-14, and the shot on goal battle, 7-5. NKU keeper 
Megan Gessner made three saves in the match. 
– The Norse also won the corner kick battle 7-2 on the night. 
– Cornett and 
Lilly Yordy were the Norse's shot leaders, as Yordy recorded five attempts with three on goal, while Cornett had four with three on goal. 
– The Norse played a tight rotation in the match, as only three subs were made, and 
Natalie Newman was the only Norse to play double-digit minutes off the bench. 
NEXT UP
Northern Kentucky will again head to Milwaukee for the Horizon League Championship next week. The Norse will play in a semifinal match on Thursday, November 6, with time and opponent to be determined.
