NKU Volleyball Spoils IU Indy’s Senior Day with Five-Set Win

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's volleyball took on IU Indy on Saturday in the team's final contest of the regular season, battling the Jaguars after a four-set win on Friday night. The Norse, who have made history multiple times already this season, did it again on Saturday as the squad picked up its 13th-straight win in a five-set thriller.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– NKU took the first set, 25-20, before getting put on their heels as the Jaguars took sets two (25-22) and three (25-13).
– The Norse battled back in set four with a 25-20 win to force a fifth. 
– Despite losing Sydney Bray in the fifth set, the Norse powered past the Jaguars with a 15-12 win. 
– Allison Risley tallied 17 kills, a match-high. She also had 11 digs in the match, resulting in her 11th double-double of the season. 
– Sydney Bray had 12 kills on 31 attempts, also recording 16 digs and three blocks. It marked her 12th double-double of the season, and her fourth consecutive. 
– Ivey Stocks had eight kills and five blocks. 
– Ava Hoying had nine kills, five digs, and an ace. 
– Abby Pickard had 42 assists, ten digs, and a block.
– Lucy Cluxton tallied 15 digs and an ace in the match. 
– NKU's 17 conference wins in a single season are the second-most in program history, trailing only a 1995 season in which the Norse went 19-1 in the GLVC. 
– The Norse's 21 total wins are tied for the third-most that head coach Liz Hart has had during her 16-year tenure, and the most since the Norse went 21-10 in 2018.
