HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's soccer student-athletes
Steven Boaghe Braniste and
Itay Soffer were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, marking their excellence both on the pitch and in the classroom.
Boaghe Braniste, a defender from Getafe, Spain, finished second on the Norse this year with three goals and was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team. A finance major, Braniste has posted a 3.90 GPA and has been named to the dean's list and Horizon League Honor Roll on multiple occasions.
Soffer, a midfielder from Tel Aviv, Israel, served as the team captain of the 2025 squad. He tied a career high with 16 appearances and set a new one with 13 starts, recording a career-high 961 minutes played. Over four years with NKU, Soffer has posted a 3.57 cumulative GPA, while majoring in finance with a business minor.
