HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's basketball looked for its fifth-straight win on Saturday, taking on Boston University at home. The Norse again overcame a slow start and outscored the Terriers by 14 in the second half, taking a nine-point victory.

– Northern Kentucky dominated the offensive glass, grabbing 18 offensive rebounds.
– NKU drained 20 of their 24 free throw attempts, as they have now converted 18 or more in each of their last three games.
– NKU allowed Boston University to shoot 56.1% from the field while the Norse shot just 38.3% on all field goal attempts.

Dan Gherezgher led NKU with 23 points, going 8-20 from the field, and 4-11 from three.

Donovan Oday went 10-13 from the free-throw line on a 16-point day. He also had three steals, three assists, and three rebounds.

LJ Wells went for 14 points, going 5-10 from the field with five boards and two steals.

Kael Robinson had 11 points and four rebounds, hitting a pair of threes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
– The Norse again had a slow start, trailing for over 18 minutes of the first period. Neither team broke out on a big run, but the Terriers led by as much as nine in the half. NKU shot under 30% from the field during the first half.
– Boston broke out on a 10-0 run to take an 11-point lead in the second half, leading with 14 minutes to go. The Norse started to make a run, as
Dan Gherezgher, who dropped 20 points in the second half, started to heat up. The Norse went on a 10-0 run in just 62 seconds, as the Norse used full-court pressure against the Terriers to wreak havoc. NKU never trailed after its 10-0 run, as big shots by Gherezgher and
Tae Dozier helped the Norse power past Boston.
GAME NOTES
– NKU's 18 boards marked the most offensive rebounds in a game against Division I competition for the Norse since January 1, 2022.
– This three-game stretch marks the first time since joining Division I that NKU has had three straight games in which it has converted 18+ free throws while shooting 75% or better from the line in each game.
