HOW IT HAPPENED

- An 18-2 run from the Vols powered Tennessee's lead to 11 at the under-12 media timeout. A Shawn Nelson three-pointer cut the Tennessee lead to five inside ten minutes, but that was the closest the Norse got for the remainder of the game. Tennessee took a 52-31 lead into the half.
- The two sides traded baskets for the first five minutes of the second, but a 10-0 run for the Vols to make it 73-43 put the game far out of the Norse's reach. Tennessee limited NKU to just 25 second-half points as UT came away with a 39-point win.
