NORSE NOTES
- Sunday's game marked the first time the Norse lost while walking more than they struck out. NKU was previously 6-0 when doing so.
- NKU got on the board first as
Jena Rhoads led off the game with a double, then stole third base. Beatty brought her home with an RBI single, but that was the only lead NKU held in the game.
- A two-out, two-RBI double in the bottom of the third gave the Owls a lead that they didn't give up. They tacked on five runs in the fourth inning, putting NKU far out of the game.
- The Norse started a bit of a rally in the sixth, as Keltner and Brow both brought in runs on two-out RBI singles, but the push ended with a pop-up from Rhoads. The Owls got those two runs back in the bottom of the sixth, anyway, grabbing a 9-3 victory to close the tournament.
