Norse Softball starts 4-0 for the first time since 2005

CLINTON, S.C. – Northern Kentucky University Norse Softball continued a hot start to the season on Saturday by repeating their results from Friday and improving to 4-0 in 2025. The Norse outscored their opponents 21-4 on Saturday, dominating on both ends. Morgan Gerak's squad's 4-0 start marks the first time in the Division 1 Era that NKU has accomplished that feat. 2025 marks the first time that the Norse have won their first four games since 2005, a squad that won its first 55 games.

Pastin then hit her two-run shot that increased the Norse lead to four, before an Eagle pitching change gave the Norse even more to work with on offense. NKY drew four walks the rest of the way, not including Ginn getting plunked by a pitch immediately following Pastin's homer. Morris and Wulker capitalized on the free bases with hits that brought runs home. Jena Rhoads brought home two runners on a bunt single with a throwing error to follow, and Beatty's double got the Norse to ten runs. Ford and Flores shut down the Eagles in the bottom half of the inning as NKU sealed its third straight win.
