HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky baseball overcame both the weather and a pair of four run deficits on Tuesday to win a second straight game, as the Norse came back to defeat the Ohio Bobcats in the midweek.
Three Norse had multiple hits in the win, with four different pitchers allowing no runs.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN - PITCHING
- Bobby Bartlett took the ball for the Norse and threw a third of an inning, allowing three runs on three hits.
- Logan Wilson came on for Bartlett and got an inning ending double play with the bases loaded before allowing an unearned run in the second.
- Noah Sackenheim threw a scoreless inning with a strikeout.
- The final four innings saw Carson French (2.0 IP, 1 K), Evan Fry (1.0 IP, W), and Aaron Massie (1.0 IP, SV) shut down the Bobcats, holding them off the board while the bats came alive.
BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN - BATTING
- Jake Paulick had a great day for the Norse, finishing with three hits including a pair of doubles and three runs scored.
- Nolan Sparks came off the bench and provided a 2-4 day with a pair of RBI, finishing with a pair of RBI including the game winner.
- Braydon Rogers finished 2-3 with a pair of walks and an RBI.
- Logen Devenport finished 1-2 with a three run homer.
- Jake Altman came off the bench and tied the game with an RBI double, finishing 1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Logen Devenport's three run homer put the Norse on the board in the second, bringing the score to 4-3 in favor of Ohio.
- Mark Nowak attempted to lay down a sac bunt, and reached on a throwing error in the seventh that allowed a run to score. Nolan Sparks then singled through the left side to score another before Braydon Rogers singled through the right side to bring the game to 7-6 Ohio.
- Jake Altman pinch hit for Nowak in the eighth, and doubled to right on the first pitch to tie the game. Connor Kurki pinch ran for Altman, and then scored on Nolan Sparks' RBI single.
- Aaron Massie then finished off the Bobcats with a scoreless ninth, picking up his fourth save of the year.

- NKU remains home as the Norse resume Horizon League play this weekend, as the Milwaukee Panthers come to town for a three game set.
