NILES, Ohio — Northern Kentucky baseball kept the bats and basepaths hot on Saturday, racking up 14 runs and causing chaos with the running game on the way to securing a series victory over Youngstown State.

- Conner Linn got the start for the Norse and threw 3.2 innings, allowing three runs.
- Logan Wilson for the win out of the bullpen, dominating the Penguins during his 3.1 innings. He allowed only one hit and struck out five.
- Aaron Massie fired two perfect innings to lock down the W.

- NKU's success was helped a ton by YSU pitching, as the Norse were able to draw 17 walks.
- Tyler Shaneyfelt drew three walks, stole a base, scored three times and finished with three RBI on the day.
- Logen Devenport finished 3-5 with a walk drawn, a stolen base, and three RBI.
- Nolan Sparks drew three walks and scored twice.
- Mark Nowak finished 1-1 off the bench.
- Marcus Harrison drew a walk and finished 1-2 with an RBI.
- Brennan Rowe and Jake Altman both drew two walks and had a hit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- NKU took an early 1st inning lead and played add-on in the second, scoring three runs by causing chaos on the basepaths. NKU led 5-2 after the second.
- Leading 5-3 in the sixth, NKU scored a run in the sixth, four in the seventh, two in the eighth and two in the ninth on the way to the win.
