DAYTON, Ohio — Northern Kentucky baseball was unable to win a third straight game Friday, as offensive struggles plagues the Norse in a series opening loss to Wright State. 

NKU managed just three hits in the loss.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN - PITCHING

• Conner Linn got the start for NKU, taking the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and a pair of walks. Linn struck out five. 
• Noah Sackenheim allowed just a run on three hits in a pair of innings. 
• Jake Johnson threw two scoreless innings with a strikeout. 

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN - BATTING

• Brennan Rowe provided the lone run scoring hit with a solo homer in the eighth. 
• Tyler Shaneyfelt finished 1-4. 
• Jake Altman doubled in the loss. 
• Jake Paulick drew a pair of walks. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Wright State plated the first seven runs of the game. NKU's Brennan Rowe homered in the eighth, but the Norse couldn't mount a comeback.

• The Norse look to even the series on Saturday, with first pitch set for 2 PM.
