HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – After a pair of victories where the Norse outscored their opponents by a combined score of 10-0, Northern Kentucky University women's soccer hit the road on Thursday night to take on in-state rival Bellarmine. The Knights, led by former longtime NKU assistant Steve Bornhoffer, played the Norse to a 1-1 draw with some late drama.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– The first half saw neither side break the deadlock. NKU recorded a trio of shots on goal and six corner kicks, while Bellarmine recorded four shots and one on goal. The Norse defense played well to limit multiple Knight attacks in the period.
– The Knights opened the second half scoring in the 63rd minute, but NKU quickly responded seven minutes later. Off a corner kick, Lilly Yordy, the nation's assist leader, whipped in a perfect ball on the near side to Erykah Cornett, who slipped it past BU's defense and keeper to level the score. It marked Yordy's sixth assist on the year and Cornett's second goal. 
– Both teams fought to the final whistle, with NKU having a couple key opportunities down the stretch, including a shot by Megan Molner with just two minutes left, but the Knights' keeper made a key save to keep the score level. With just a few seconds left on the clock, Sophia Kapszukiewicz launched a shot from the far corner of the box, but missed just high as time expired. 
– The Norse stayed undefeated with the result, moving to 2-0-2 on the season.
